We would like to thank our members and the community for their continued support over the past 8 years. In particular, these past few weeks as new challenges were set upon us.
Unfortunately for now we have to close our doors for the unforeseeable future and my heart is breaking. We knew the time would come under the current circumstances, and we enforced every guideline delivered to us to remain being open. This was to maintain consistency with our members and provide a safe and healthy environment for them to still enjoy sport on a weekly or more frequent basis.

What is sad, is how quick it changed (however expected in the current climate). For our once a week participants this was often their highlight of the week in seeing their coach, learning and challenging new heights.
Our Competitive Teams: Our seniors season was cut short and our Juniors hadn’t even begun but were working hard in preparing for the upcoming season. This is devastating to them as these kids spend anywhere from 6 hours to 20 hours a week training. Yes, they will overcome this and will build resilience and set new goals.

Our Coaches: Our Coaches are not just coaches- They are also family. Having to tell them there were no more classes was the most heart breaking thing I have ever had to do. (And yes, I had tears) For them, this was their income. I know some are saving for university or cars, some have families to provide for and this upsets me to not be able to uphold a weekly pay for them. Following all requirements in keeping open, kept them earning an income for that little bit longer. We did not know what would become available to them, if anything.

Obviously, with very little sleep after the hardest of phone calls and emails, it was time to think how do we or can we rise above. We will rise above this. All small businesses I am sure are no doubt thinking how to we survive under these current circumstances. No one predicted this would happen.
As a club owner, you don’t own a gym for the money or to be a millionaire – because you wouldn’t!
You own a gym for the pure enjoyment and passion of the sport. To watch the achievements and accomplishments from those who you teach standing in front of you. The friendships formed and the extra family that you create.
We hope one day in the near distant future we can re-open and continue to teach and deliver what we have done for the past 8 years. We are looking at ways of keeping in constant contact with our members and challenging them.
In the midst of things, we hope our staff can hang on, we will get through this and we will rise above.

As we say ‘Soar a little higher’
Take care our gym families.
Tracy
PS. To all the members and friends who have either text, phoned or messaged, I thank you for your positivity and continued support, encouragement and praise is truly appreciated.
